It all Started with Retail
We started on the retail side of things back in 1992, when our founder Jim Buckley opened up our first retail store.  Jim was always fashionable and he saw an opportunity in the marketplace to provide great vintage clothing in a clean, organized and affordable atmosphere.  Jim, being the maverick, redefined what vintage retail can be.

We Move into Vintage Wholesale
In 1999, after reinventing vintage clothing retail, Jim turned his eye to a new opportunity – wholesale vintage clothing.  At the time, there really weren’t wholesale vintage clothing warehouses and it was really difficult to get vintage.

Most store owners were spending all their time “thrifting” to try to stock their stores.  This was (and still is!) a big problem – it takes way too much time and doesn’t allow a store owner to be with their customers or even manage their store. We solved this problem by making it easy, fast and inexpensive for store owners to stock their store – in just one call, you can get all the inventory you need for the coming weeks.

How we Supply your Store in Bulk
In the last 10 years or so, we’ve developed relationships with vintage suppliers all over America and educated them on what great vintage is.  This is no easy task.  We sift through millions of pounds of clothing every year to find the best vintage available.  Here’s our rule: we don’t put anything in our warehouse that wouldn’t sell in our own stores. And, when the unhip pieces fool our buyers, we filter them out and put them in our outlet store.  This “last check” ensures that you get good-quality vintage at reasonable prices.
